Is it really possible to find joy during life’s trial? Yes, this is 100% true and doable. According to 1 Thessalonians 5:16-18, “Rejoice always, pray continually, give thanks in all circumstances; for this is God’s will for you in Christ Jesus.”
I know how hard it is to rejoice in the midst of trials, however, this is what God wants us to do. To remove the fear and discouragement and replace it with a joyful and hopeful heart.
As Christians, we are expected to be like Christ and do good things like Him. But we, Christians, are just human beings. There will always come a time in our lives where fear, stress, and discouragement will come to us.
But as Christians, we must know that trials in life will not always remain in our life. We must know that no matter how big is our stress and problems in life, God is bigger than whatever trials we have and that God alone will help us to become joyful in life.
With that in mind, if you want to learn how to focus on God to have a joyful life despite life’s trials, here’s what you need to consider to lighten your situation:
1. Change your perspective
The best way for you to find joy during life’s trials is to change your perspective on life and focus on the good things rather than the negative ones. If you will entertain positivity, you will easily find joy in your life despite your circumstances.
If you will practice praising God and thanking Him for every good thing that you are getting in life, your heart will be filled with so much joy and love. In other words, your way of thinking will help you in finding joy and peace in life.
2. Use life’s trials as your motivation
Again, it is not easy to feel joyful when you are dealing with life’s trials. However, you have to remember that these trials will help you to work out your spiritual life.
So instead of focusing on your pain, sadness, and discouragement, simply use your trials as an opportunity to grow your faith, trust, and love for God.
In that way, your endurance and character will be strengthened which is a good thing because once you have encountered an issue again in your life, you will take these future issues lightly because your heart and faith are much braver than ever before.
3. Choose God first
Want to find joy? Then choose God first because He is the only joy that will last forever. He is the original source of happiness, love, and peace on earth. He is the only one who can help us in our life’s trials. He is the only who will remain in our life when no one wants to pick up you. And He is the only one who can save us from the darkness for He is the light of the universe.
So if you want to easily find joy in life, put God at the center of your life and let Him touch you and your life for you to ease the pain.
“Blessed is the man who perseveres under trial because when he has stood the test, he will receive the crown of life that God has promised to those who love him.” – James 1:12
