3 Encouraging Bible Verses About Forgiveness

July 13, 2018

Can you still recall the last time you have experienced a deep pain that was caused by someone who is very close to your heart? Have you already sent your forgiveness to them?

If you are finding it hard to forgive others, here are the 3 encouraging bible verses about forgiveness that will definitely help you in your journey:

1. Do not judge others, and God will not judge you; do not condemn others, and God will not condemn you; forgive others, and God will forgive you. – Luke 6:373 Encouraging Bible Verses About Forgiveness

According to Luke 6:37, if you want to God to forgive you for all your mistakes and sins, then you have to do the same by simply forgiving others who have caused you pain.

If you want to get blessings and miracles from God, you have to learn how to do good things for other people regardless of how they have treated you.

And if you want to get a help from God, you have to help yourself first because forgiveness will come to your heart and mind and God will just guide you along the process of forgiveness.

2. Be tolerant with one another and forgive one another whenever any of you has a complaint against someone else. You must forgive one another just as the Lord has forgiven you. – Colossians 3:13

If God can forgive you, then you should also learn how to forgive others because we are just human beings who are created by God. He is our Father. That means we should follow all His commandments because we are just His children.

And no matter how painful is your experienced, you should not tolerate that pain to be absorbed by your heart because God easily forgave you and will continue to forgive you no matter how deep are your sins.

3. Then Peter came to Jesus and asked, “Lord, if my brother keeps on sinning against me, how many times do I have to forgive him? Seven times?” “No, not seven times,” answered Jesus, “but seventy times seven.” – Matthew 18:21, 22

If you will ask the same question to God now, for sure that He will give you the same answer because that’s the right thing to do and that’s the perfect way for us to enter the Kingdom of God.

I know how hard it is to forgive other people. But the only way for us to free ourselves from pain and disappointments in life, we have to learn how to forgive others because God will only forgive us if we will forgive those people who have caused as pain.
